As the Centre for Nutrition & Behaviour celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are taking a moment to reflect on the research and people that have shaped our work over the past decade.
Understanding Nutrition, Behaviour, and Health
Over the last 10 years, the Centre has explored how nutrition, behaviour, and environment interact to influence the way people eat and live. This research helps to deepen understanding of food choices and supports the development of evidence-based approaches to improving health and wellbeing.
A key focus of our work has been understanding the real-world factors that shape eating behaviours, from everyday habits and experiences to wider social and environmental influences.
“Our research explores how everyday habits, experiences, and environments shape the way people make food choices and influence long-term health.”
The FAMISH Study
One example of this work is the FAMISH study, which is helping researchers better understand the factors that influence our relationship with food. By exploring how habits, experiences, and environments shape eating behaviours, the study contributes to a growing evidence base that can support healthier lives and inform future approaches to nutrition and wellbeing.
“Understanding the complexity of eating behaviour is essential for developing effective, real-world approaches to improving health.”
People Behind the Research
We would like to thank all of the researchers, students, collaborators, and participants who contribute to this work. In particular, we recognise the contributions of Dr Tetyana Rocks and the Grounded Research Team, whose work continues to advance understanding in this area.

Looking Ahead
As we mark this milestone, we also look ahead to continuing to share research that helps improve health and wellbeing in real-world settings.
