Our focus areas

To enhance the health and wellbeing of our communities and address health inequalities, Grounded Research has identified three key focus areas:

  • mental health
  • nutrition and behaviour
  • community research

These themes reflect our specialist expertise in these areas of research and innovation and align with both the trust’s and national priorities in addressing unmet healthcare needs.

Our focus areas are supported by a wealth of knowledge and skills across our team in several key areas, including:

  • a diverse range of projects, such as National Institute for Health and Care Research portfolio studies, commercial research, and evaluation studies
  • public Involvement and community engagement initiatives
  • development of workforce and facility capacity and capability
  • acceleration and implementation of health technologies, therapies, and data platforms

By focusing on these areas, we aim to drive meaningful improvements in healthcare and make a positive impact on the lives of those in our communities.
